Shopping Basket

The Shopping Basket drop down menu at the top right of the website shows a summary of the most recent items added to your basket as well as convenient links to view your full shopping basket and checkout. This menu is also available on mobile devices using the right pull-out menu found at the top of every page.

Click the 'Add to Basket’ button on the search results page or department pages to add a quantity of one of the specified product to your shopping basket. There is also an ‘Add to Basket’ button on product details pages which will allow you to specify a quantity. You can also manually add items via the shopping basket which can be helpful if you are ordering from a Koorong catalogue. In My Shopping Basket simply enter the Koorong catalogue number or product ISBN in the white box which says Product Code and click 'Add to Basket'. It will automatically add a quantity of one which you can change in the Basket product listing. You can easily change the quantity of a product, remove an item from your basket, and move products to a Wishlist to purchase at a later time.

If you have an Online Offer Code please enter the 8-digit code in the box provided under the Order Total in My Shopping Basket and press apply. If you have a Member Reward Coupon or Gift Card you can enter the code in the box provided in Payment during the Checkout process.

Prices displayed in the shopping basket are displayed in AUD by default. We recommend you log in using the ‘Log In’ links to see the most accurate pricing information available, including any discounts or other factors. To see an estimate of your order total in your local currency, click the 'Change' link located next to the current currency at the top of the shopping basket. Please note that foreign currency prices are an estimate based on recent exchange rates, and that the final total you are charged may be different depending on your credit card provider and any other foreign currency fees incurred. Once you have logged in you will see your name displayed, and more accurate details will be displayed based on your location. You won’t need to log in again to place your order during this session. Our shopping basket relies on ‘cookies’ in order to work correctly. If your web browser or firewall/anti-virus software is set to block cookies, then the shopping basket will not function correctly. Please also note that if you delete your cookies, any current items in your shopping basket will be lost.

Checkout

Once you have added the items you wish to order to your Shopping Basket you are ready to Checkout. There are five pages in Checkout: Shopping Basket, Delivery, Payment, Review & Submit, and Receipt. You can update any of your delivery or contact details during the checkout process. If you have saved a credit card previously you may be presented with a quick checkout button for more details please see the section below.

Log In

If you haven’t already logged into your account, when you click the ‘Checkout’ button the site will take you to the Log In page. If you have a Koorong Membership Account, you can log in before checkout – doing so can save you time as we can save and pre-fill your delivery and payment information every time you order. Should you not wish to create a Koorong Membership account, you can check-out as a guest. If you select this option we’ll only keep your information on our system for as long as it takes to complete your order. You have the option to create a full Membership account during your guest order should you change your mind.

Delivery

This is the address where your items will be sent. You can enter a different Billing Address or just tick the Same as Delivery box. You are also given an option to type Special Delivery Instructions and a Customer Reference.

Payment

We provide several different methods of payment for your order. You can provide a new credit card number or use a credit card that you have used previously and saved on your account. If you would prefer not to use a credit card, simply select the ‘Contact us to arrange payment’ option. View Payment Options to see more details. Please note that we do not process your order or set items aside in your order until payment is received. You can also add Gift Cards, Gift eVouchers and Member Reward Coupons unless your order contains both electronic items (eBooks/eTickets/Licences) and physical items.

For trade customers or customers who have successfully applied for credit, a ‘Charge my Koorong Member Account’ option will be displayed. Please note: it is not possible to pay for web orders with pre-arranged credit (from a prior credit card, money order or B-Pay payment) through our website. Please select the ‘Contact us to arrange payment’ option.

Review & Submit

This page provides the order contents and will show the Delivery Address and Payment Method in the left box, as well as the ability to update any of this information. Please check the details below thoroughly as it is not possible to amend your order after submission. When you are happy that all supplied information is correct then click the ‘Submit Order' button to place your order. You will then be taken to a receipt page with your order number. This should be retained for your future reference. You will also be sent an email confirming your order to the email address you have provided. Further emails will be sent to this address notifying you of the progress of your order.

Please remember that we cannot hold your order at a Koorong store for pick up.

Quick Checkout

If you have Logged In and ordered online before you may get the option for ‘Quick Checkout’, a one-step process which takes you straight to the Review & Submit page and allows your method of payment and delivery address to be automatically chosen for you based on the information saved on your account. If you have a credit card saved to your account, it will be automatically selected. Otherwise, you will be given the choice for your method of payment. Similarly, if you have a valid Delivery Address, it will be chosen. If you do not have a valid Delivery Address, your Billing Address will be used instead. If you have neither, you will be asked to specify a Delivery Address.
